The Boycott Bench Committee (20+ local members and growing) was formed in response to 28 names placed on the benches at Malcolm X Park, Roxbury, Ma. on October 14, 2023. We do not support the name selection process that was performed along with many of the names on the benches. Many names should be replaced and will be asap based on the incoming votes. Our budget is filled and ready by the committee to repair this damage. We are welcoming petitions & names by
November 30, 2023.

We believe that Martin Luther King Jr, Satch Sanders, Gloria Fox, Chuck Turner, Rosa Parks, Harry Wilson, Charles Yancey, Mandela, Menino, Obama, Harriet Tubman, Al McClain, Bill Russell, Clyde Prichard, T Clark, Monty Mac, Wayne Turner, Gregory Davis, Leroy Mcpherson, David Lewis, Jean McGuire...and many others should be on these benches.
You can add names from the existing names on the benches or submit names on your top TEN list in your petition email to us. We believe that there they will be many more added to the list and thank you for your response.
